Free MBA level classes in Long Beach emphasising Entrepreneurial Skills

ORANGE COUNTY/LONG BEACH  California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB), is offering free classes to residents of the Inland Empire and Orange County near the Long Beach Airport.  The University’s internationally recognized program was  recently honored as one of the top 35 Global Business Schools for fostering Entrepreneurship and Innovation by the AACSB.

Thanks to a State of California grant aimed empowering non-traditional students and low-income residents with an opportunity to have access to university level education, this program is open to all residents over 18 years old.  High school graduation, prior college classes, and US citizenship are not prerequisites for admission.  The program is aimed at small business owners and persons interested in entrepreneurship.  The Entrepreneurial Course takes attendees from idea to business launch with information on a variety of entrepreneurial and business topics.  Minorities, persons of color, women and persons of non-traditional genders, persons with learning disabilities and senior citizens are encourage to attend.

This intensive 10-week Entrepreneurial Professional course runs every Thursday,  from March 7 –May 9, 2019 at Long Beach City College, 4901 East Carson Street, Long Beach, CA 90810.  Register at ThinkLikeAnOwner.org .  Availability is partially based on when your application is received, so apply ASAP.

In addition to an education in business, students will develop a business concept in what the professors call an ” entrepreneurial journey…you [will] learn to think and act like an owner and discover the Entrepreneur in you!”  As you are building your business concept, you will learn about feasibility analysis, startup models, competition, marketing, start-up funding and how to legally protect your product or idea. Throughout the course, you will learn the importance of entrepreneurial planning, strategy, and pitching your ideas. When you take the sum of all these parts, they equal – The Entrepreneurial Person – able to move between the business and managerial/technical realms!
