Orange County Company offers Innovative Solution to open Schools and Offices
How to return to school safely: Clean Zonez™
ORANGE, CA, AUGUST 2020
Located in the City of Orange, Zonez a division of Allied Modular which has more than 30 years of experience, is announcing the launch of its patent pending Clean Zonez(TM) panels and air filtration system.
As the transition back into the classroom begins, it is important to provide solutions that enhance the safety of educational facilities. School districts are looking for practical and functional solutions that make this possible. Clean Zonez http://www.cleanzonez.com has launched an innovative, patent pending system to solve this problem. Their system keeps people safe in two ways. First by blocking the spread of the COVID-19 virus and secondly by killing viruses and any other vectors in the air. To do this strategically placed see through panels are placed around work areas when possible. They’re made of a special type of PET plastic that also has the benefit of reducing noise. They are attache with simple clamps that have been engineered to be placed on most desks, walls, and workstations. Panels are placed at levels where viruses might be exhaled and higher to prevent spread, Airborne viruses that normally would be spread to another person or work area might be blocked by the panels.
The second feature are additional air cleaning systems. Most HVAC filters were designed to block dust, but viruses can get through common filters. Also since the HVAC system covers a large area–often and entire floor of a building or the building itself, viruses emitted near the air intake could be spread to everyone in the building. This company adds air filtration to their panels in the work areas to minimize the possibility of virus spread. A state-of-the-art air filtration unit placed inside of an acoustical panel, providing both clean air and a physical barrier.
Sande Golgart, President of Zonez http://www.zonez.com, says, “It is important to treat the air where it is exhaled, coughed, or sneezed into the shared air. HVAC systems are simply not designed to do this.”
How does their air filtration work? Intake fans pull air through five layers of air filtration including HEPA filtration and UV-C sterilization. Clean air is then pushed out through the exhaust fan to release fresh, filtered air. HEPA stands for High-Efficiency Particulate Absorbing. It can capture very small particles and according to this NYTimes article, there is a good possibility that HEPA filters may stop the spread of COVID-19, UV light has also been shown to kill the virus.
Golgart also noted, “The air we breathe is the most shared resource inside any educational facility. Adding air filtration systems to classrooms and faculty lounges enhances the safety of faculty, staff, and students.”
The company hasn’t claimed that it’s systems would be 100% effective in stopping the spread of viruses, but it seems reasonable to assume that it their system would decrease the risk of virus spread. It’s probably impossible to know how much the risk would decreased; but as a society we must also consider the psychological and economic costs of keeping our schools and businesses closed. Also, not everyone has the luxury of being able to work-at-home.
With an increased focus on social distancing and clean air in any collaborative environment, Clean Zonez http://www.cleanzonez.com is trying to meet the needs of many different industries across the country with their innovative solutions. A variety of sizes, colors, and products make it easy to find the best solution for any classroom/office environment.
Note, portions of this article were originally published via a company press release on PRWEB. Additionally it has been brought to our attention that the plural of Virus is Viruses not Viri.
